Age 71, of Brookline, on Friday, January 17, 2020 passed peacefully with her family by her side. Affectionately known as “B”, Barbara was loved by all who knew her. Walk through her front door and she was always there in her kitchen ready to welcome you in and offer you something to eat. If she was serving her famous Sunday pasta dinners, she would implore you to put “more sauce on it.” Along with her husband of fifty years, Tommy, they built a home that welcomed people in of all walks and backgrounds in life, sharing with them the wealth of their love and hospitality. She was in many ways a mother to many and will be sorely missed. God blessed her with a large immediate family that was always the center of her attention, love and support. She now rests in the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, sending from heaven—to those privileged to know and love her—those famous parting words, “I love you more.” Beloved wife of Thomas M. Matrascia. Loving mother of Bethany (Jonathan) Stewart, Rachel (Scott) Martin, David (Kristy) Matrascia, Vincent Matrascia, and Matthew Matrascia. Loving Nunny of Ella, Kylie, Caelyn, Ava, and Caleb Stewart; Antonette, Frankie, Josephina, and Massimo Martin; Maria, Valentina, Giabella, David Matrascia, and Skylar Matrascia. Beloved aunt to Jenn Jenkins and Vanessa (Rob) Jankowski. Sister of the late William “Billy” (Loretta) and Robert “Bobby” Jenkins. Daughter of the late William and Frances (Mazza) Jenkins. Friends received 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Funeral service to take place in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
