Carol Ann (Popello) Raffaele

Carol Ann Raffaele, age 86, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving daughters and beloved husband, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Carol was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 8, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Philomena “Mae” (Figliolia) Popello. Most beloved wife and best friend of 69 years to Gregory A. Raffaele. Loving mother of Ronna (Gregory) Simmons, Cara Mondzelewski, and Beth (Eric) Langkamp. Cherished Mema of Patrick Giampa, Kristina (John) Finney, Kali (Amber Compton) Simmons, Jamie Mondzelewski, Michael (Annie) Mondzelewski, Eric Langkamp, and Luke Langkamp. Great Mema of Nico Giampa, Grady Caslin, Valor Finney, Jamison Finney, Addy Compton, Landon Mondzelewski, Brody Mondzelewski, and Nora Mondzelewski. Carol will be sadly missed by her numerous nieces, cousins and friends.  

Family and friends received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14th, at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 15th, at 10 a.m., in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish – St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial to immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery, 718 Hazelwood Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
