D. M. "Dixie" Dix

Age 89, of Dormont, formerly of Elliott, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, on Saturday, August 15, 2020.  She was the daughter of the late Irene and Arthur Dix, Sr. and was preceded in death by her beloved son, Anthony Vasselo "TJ", her siblings Anna Gion, Rene Saville, Arthur Dix and Robert Dix.  She is survived by her brother Raymond (Laurie) Dix, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews and her very dearest friend and wonderful companion, Edna Herman, who lovingly took care of her for many years, and who was truly her angel on this earth.  Dixie had a full and happy life and was an extremely outgoing, caring and fun loving person who always enjoyed making new friends.  She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends who always showered her with attention and love.  She was the life of the party and it would be a wonderful gesture if everyone would drink a toast, in her memory, to a life well lived.  As per Dixie's wishes, there is no visitation.
