Dolores M. "Dee" Murgi

Dolores Marie Murgi, age 84, of Beechview, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026. 

Dee was preceded in death by her parents Salvatore "Sam" and Rose Lee (Marano) Murgi. Dee spent her entire life living in her childhood home, which was also known as "Sam's Market" of Beechview. She is survived by her loving brother, Anthony "Tony" (Bonnie Coyne) Murgi of Brookline. The light of Dee's life were her three loving nieces; Christine (Robb) Macko, Deana Murgi, and Sandra (Frankie) Civitate. "Aunt Dee" was adored and loved "very, very much", by her nieces as well as by their children, Samantha (Cea Carlesi) Civitate, A.J. (Wendy Wall) Macko, Hannah Macko, Marissa Civitate and Nino Civitate.

Dee spent the majority of her life working as a receptionist at The Webb Law Firm in Downtown, Pittsburgh. She spent more than 50 years at the front desk, greeting co-workers, business associates, and clients with a warm smile and a hot cup of coffee, among her other various duties. She loved the friends she made throughout her career and the special times she spent at "the office", before retiring in her early 70's.

Dee loved reading her Bible, dancing, country music (especially Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton), and spending time with her cherished family and her many beloved friends.   

Friends received from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1st at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 2nd at 11 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish--St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, Pittsburgh Office, 2835 E. Carson St., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203, and the Amedysis Foundation, 450 Racetrack Rd., Suite 102, Washington, PA 15301.
