Dorothy Sullivan Obituary

Dorothy Fay Hilf Sullivan, 94, died peacefully Sunday, March 7, 2021, in Markleysburg, PA of natural causes.

 She is survived by four children:  son Tim and wife Marcia Sullivan of TX, daughter Patty and husband Michael Wallisch of MD, son Bob Sullivan of NV, and son Tom and wife Bonnie Sullivan of NJ; grandchildren:   Rachel Sullivan and partner Ken Pacheski, Rebecca Sullivan and husband Dan Desario, Zach Sullivan, Tom Wallisch and wife Steph Osborn, Amy Wallisch and husband Anthony Spinelli, and Ryan Sullivan; and three great grandchildren Ella, Jacob and Rebecca.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Sullivan who died of cancer in 1983.

 Born in Mt. Lebanon, PA on January 18th, 1927 to Catherine Emilie Vetter and Frederick Hilf.  She attended Bethany College and worked in Pittsburgh until she married Howard (Sonny) Sullivan, a Policeman she met while living on “Chicken Hill”, on December 27, 1950.  She and “Son” raised their four children at their family home in Westwood until Dorothy moved to Mt. Lebanon in 1995. 

 "Granny", who never learned how to drive, was often seen throughout Mt. Lebanon on her daily five to ten mile walks which she continued well into her 90’s before moving to Quality Life Services Henry Clay in Markleysburg, PA in 2020 where she enjoyed excellent care.

 A private memorial service to say goodbye was entrusted to BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD.
