Edward John Dashner, age 69, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. He is preceded in death by his mother Anna M. (Weber) Dashner on February 21, 2007, and his father William Dashner on December 8, 2021. Edward is survived by his brother, William (Michelle) Dashner; sisters, Arlene (Robert A.) Sporcic, and Anna (Kenneth) Lucas; nephews, Andrew Dashner, Adam Dashner, Robert M. Sporcic, and Kenneth William (Erin) Lucas; nieces, Maria (Austin) Ridgley and Amelia Lucas; great-nephews, Nico and Noah Ridgley; great-niece, Eleanor Lucas.
Edward worked as a carpenter for many years and spent much of his career with his father’s cabinet company. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, was a devoted fan of Pittsburgh sports teams and loved to cook. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Friends received 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11th at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 12th at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish--St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Reserve Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Knights of Columbus Bishop’s Project.
