Flora E. Balmer

Age 87, of Brigantine, NJ, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 15, 2012. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, where she lived and worked until 2007 when she moved to New Jersey to be closer to family. Flo was the Secretary for the OX5 Aviation Pioneers in the Pittsburgh headquarters office. Flo worked closely with Cliff Ball, one of the founding members of the OX5 and devoted much of her life to the day to day operations. She also owned and operated AAA Advertising in Pittsburgh before her retirement in 2001. She will be dearly missed by her niece, Kathy Olszewski of Pittsburgh and a sister-in-law, Betty Jane Balmer (Ellenberger) of Port Orange, FL and six nieces and nephews, Tom Balmer and his wife Robyn (Brigantine, NJ) , Paul Balmer and his wife Stephanie (Galloway, NJ), Nancy Balmer- Csira (Laguna Beach, CA), Claire Peterson and husband Brian (Port Orange, FL), Jane Crafts and her husband Dave (Medford Lakes, NJ), and Jeri Tracy and her husband Matt (Jacksonville, FL). She also leaves behind 14 great- nieces and nephews. Friends received 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday only at BRUSCO - NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Beechview. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park.
