Age 91, of Brookline, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Son of the late Frank and Gertrude (Goliwas) Kubicki. Frank was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Claire Cecilia (Flaherty) Kubicki. Loving father of Laura A. Kubicki and Francis M. Kubicki, Jr. Cherished brother of the late Helen (Jack) Sheridan. Brother-in-law of Ann (the late Regis) Flaherty, Dorothy (the late John) Flaherty and Nancy Poremski. Frank will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Prior to being drafted into the military, Frank graduated from South High (South Side) in 1951. Frank proudly served his country as a Corporal and Military Policeman in the United States Army during the Korean War, earning numerous medals, badges and commendations as a skilled marksman and sharpshooter. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Frank was employed by Columbia Gas (Bethel Park) for 42 years, retiring in 1997. While working for Columbia Gas, Frank met the love of his life, Claire.
Frank will be remembered as a very loving and dedicated husband, father and hard-working man that always took care of his family and his home. He never hesitated to offer a helping hand to anyone who may have needed it. Frank's hobbies included gardening, a good movie, working with his hands, listening to music, enjoyed a good meal and conversation, working on projects within the family's home, taking care of the home and spending time with his family. Frank selflessly sacrificed so much for his family, being a devoted caregiver to his loving wife and also his mother and sister. He was truly one of a kind who will be dearly missed.
Family and friends received on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 2-8 p.m., BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh., PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish, St. Pius X Church, 3040 Pioneer Ave., Pgh. Pa 15226. Interment to immediately follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
