Francis J. Scherer

Age 90, of Arlington, on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Eileen (Sweeney) Scherer. Loving father of Dennis (Joyce) Scherer, Francis (Trina) Scherer Jr., and the late Kenneth Scherer, Donald Scherer, and Jefferey Scherer. Grandfather of Craig (Jaime), Kelly, Luke (Tori), Tyler, Raymond (Cecilia), Nathan (Chelsea), Paige (Brennen), and Jacob. Great-grandfather of Maddux, Maxim, Lorence, Leland, Cameron, and Zoe. Brother of Kathleen (the late Ronald) Bauman, and the late Robert (Henrietta) Scherer, Norma (Ben) Patterson, Ronald (Alice) Scherer, and Thomas (Helen) Scherer. Son of the late Robert and Catherine (Fitzwilliams) Scherer. Fran will be dearly missed by countless friends, family, and his pup Mudd. Fran was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 249. Friends received from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 29th at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh., PA 15216. Burial will be held privately.
