George R. "Rich" Barkey

Age 76, of Beechview, on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Beloved husband of 54 years to Patricia L. (Pietz) Barkey. Loving father of Denise Gay and Richard (Heather) Barkey. Grandfather of Alexa Gay, Abigail Barkey, Alyssa Gay, and Madilyn Barkey. Brother of Carol “Corey” (the late Jerry) Merz and the late Russell L. (Betty Jane—still surviving) Barkey Jr. Son of the late Russell L. and Helen (Stirk) Barkey, Sr. Rich was proud of his time spent in the military, serving as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, during the Vietnam War. As per Rich’s wishes, there will be no visitation and all services were held privately. Arrangements are entrusted to BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216.
