Gertrude A. "Trudy" (Tenzar) Chleboski

Gertrude Agnes "Trudy" Chleboski, 87, of Tampa, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, after a brief illness. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Trudy is survived by her children Thomas Chleboski, Jr., Andrew York, Lawrence Chleboski, Lisa Thomas and Julie Page; her grandchildren Walker and Casey Cook; her sisters Dorothy Tamburro and Florence Weale; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Chleboski, Sr., and her parents Andrew and Eleanor (Sekula) Tenzar.

Trudy graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was an elementary school teacher. She was married on February 23, 1960, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. An active member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lutz, Trudy was involved with numerous ministries and organizations in the church. She also enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and she was known for a strong will, unbounding energy and her great sense of humor. 

A funeral Mass will be held in Lutz, Florida, in St. Timothy Catholic Church, on Tuesday, November 29th, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors an hour prior at the church, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friends and family will be received in Pittsburgh, on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:30-11:00 a.m., at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Following visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church of St. Jude Parish, 310 Shady Ave., Pgh, PA 15206. Burial to follow in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, 700 Soose Rd., Pgh, PA 15209.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to St. Timothy Catholic Church, 17512 Lakeshore Road, Lutz, FL.
