Herbert M. Buettner, Sr.

Age 94, of Beechview, on Monday, November 2, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Rita M. (Langdon) Buettner. Loving father of Herbert (the late Eileen) Buettner, Diane (the late John) Gerhardt, Ken Buettner, Elaine (the late Patrick) Crawley and Tom (Peg) Buettner. Ten grandchildren. Eighteen great-grandchildren. Four great-great grandchildren. Herb served as a Hospital Apprentice First Class in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a retired Truck Driver for the City of Pittsburgh Water Department. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday only at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral home is following CDC guidelines. Therefore, facial masks are required while in the building.
