Irene Marie Aiello

Irene Marie Aiello, of Pittsburgh, passed away at Marian Manor in Greentree on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the age of 100.  Predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene, in 1995.  Also preceded in death by her three brothers, Edward, James and Paul.  Irene was employed for many years by Liberty Printing and retired in 1984.  Irene was a beloved and cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a “one-of-a-kind” person who was always the model of kindness and graciousness in her lifetime and helped to put the “Great” in the Greatest Generation.  Irene was deeply loved by her family, her friends and by everyone else whoever had the pleasure of meeting her.  Irene will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her sweet style and loving smile will never be forgotten.  Friends will be received at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Avenue, (Beechview) Pittsburgh, PA 15216.  Friday, September 4th from 9-10:30 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish, St. Catherine of Siena Church, on Broadway Avenue in Beechview, at 11 a.m.  Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery is private.  Gifts in Irene’s memory may be given to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, www.littlesistersofthepoorpittsburgh.org. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral home is following CDC, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Health Department guidelines. Therefore, facial masks are required while in the building.
