Janet J. (Hornfeck) Kosuda

Age 83, of Beechview, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Beloved wife of 63 years to Leonard "Poe" Kosuda. Loving mother of Linda (Russell) Jodoin, Raymond (Donna) Kosuda, Melanie (Michael) Cvetic, and Lorrie (Daniel) Whiteside; also survived by her grandchildren, Nathan (Angel) Kosuda, Nicholas (Patricia) Cvetic, Christina (Christopher) Petricca, Devin (Amber Renfroe) Kosuda, Drew Whiteside, Adam Whiteside, Lila Whiteside, Dustin King, and the late Ray Allen Kosuda. Proud great-grandmother of Madison and Timothy Kosuda, Joseph and John Cvetic, Emily Petricca, Ah’Miracle and Bentley Kosuda, and the late Ava Kosuda. She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Mildred (Boyce) Hornfeck. Sister of Margaret (the late Lee) Fazio, William (Shirley) Hornfeck, James Hornfeck, Marie (the late Paul) Petrovich, Alfred (Judith) Hornfeck, Joseph (Sharon) Hornfeck, Dennis (Nancy) Hornfeck, Philip (Laurie) Hornfeck, Josephine (Bruce) Boone, Patricia (Vincent) Brennan, Regina (Steve) Kimak, and the late Edwin (Pat) Hornfeck. Janet will be dearly missed by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Janet enjoyed crocheting, quilting, traveling and spending lots of time with family and friends. She worked for Rockwell International in the Accounts Payable department for 17 years.

Friends received on Wednesday, August 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7th at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish--St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1901 Broadway Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
