Janet L. (Mason) Tropeano

Age 85, of Beechview, on Monday, March 21, 2022. Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Ralph J. Tropeano. Loving mother of Julia (Bob) Deighan, John (Gloria) Tropeano, and Jim (Kerri) Tropeano. Grandmother of Brian Deighan, Kevin (Cara) Deighan, John (Emily) Tropeano, Jr., Jamie (Tyler) Zaremski, and Brooklyn Daniels. Great-grandmother of Adalynn Nicole Deighan, Felix Xavier Deighan, Wyatt John Tropeano and Tucker Bruce Tropeano. Daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Peterson) Mason. Sister of the late Mary Jane Cornelius, James Peterson, Ruth Gualtieri, Alice Stuart, Eleanor Thieme and Robert Mason. Many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Janet attended St. Mary’s of the Mount School, worked at New Amsterdam Insurance Co., married her beloved husband Ralph, on May 19, 1955, and worked in the Gift Shop at the H. J. Heinz Co. Janet was a stay-at-home mom where she raised her children and helped care for her grandchildren. She loved all of her grand dogs, they could always count on her for a treat. Mom and Dad loved traveling and socializing with family and friends. Shopping was her favorite pastime. Friends received 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
