Age 98, of Beechview, on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Thomas D’Amico. Loving mother of Bernadette (Thomas) Balestreire of Greensboro, GA, Thomas X. (Judith) of Glen Rose, TX, Lorraine (Roger) Smoot, and Louis (Kim) D’Amico. Grandmother of Gina (Bobby) Prentice, John (Emily) Balestreire, Julie (Shea) Garber, Ryan Smoot, Mark D’Amico, and Clark (Kelly) D’Amico. Great-grandmother of Anthony Prentice, Luca and Leo Balestreire, Grace and John Garber. Sister of Phyllis Pometto, Joanna Cerminaro, Sarah Speaker, and the late Joseph Pullia and Lena Torchia. Jean will be sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday only at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church—St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish, 1901 Broadway Ave., Pgh., PA 15216. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Jean’s family suggests donations be made to St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—Parish Share, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh., PA 15216. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral home is following CDC guidelines. Therefore, facial masks are required while visiting in the building.
