Age 85, of Brookline, on Friday, March 28, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Benedict E. “Ben” Hartman. Loving mother of Joy (Jim Hartline) Hartman, Jackie (Dave) MacKenzie, Fred (Mickey) Hartman, and Jeannine Hartman. Cherished Nonnie of Derek MacKenzie, Garrett (Renee) MacKenzie, Travis (Kristin) MacKenzie, Brittany (Phil) Belcastro, Dalles Hartman, Shea (Anna) Loftus, Jordan Richardson, Sheena (Bo) Han, Ben (Rachael) Hartman, Carly Richardson, Colin (Danielle) Loftus, and Lindsay (Nick) Pensyl. Special “Hart” of Arleigh, Addie, Athena, Sophia, Astella, Aries, Gemma, Jack, Waylon, Riley, Duncan, Carson, Rees, Colton, and Declan. Daughter of the late Fred and Adeline (Benedetti) Barsotti. Sister of the late Norma (Frank) Aracri. Sister-in-law of Kathleen (the late Robert) Mulholland and Mary Anne (Sid) Reed. Joan will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews from the Aracri, Simon, and Reed families. Joan’s family would like to thank all the caregivers at Kane Community Living Center for loving Joan and taking care of her over the last few years.
Friends will be received 2-8 p.m. on Monday, March 31st, at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1st, at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—Church of the Resurrection, 1100 Creedmoor Ave., Pgh, PA 15226. Entombment to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
