Age 56, of Brookline, peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Daughter of the late James and Patricia (Cromie) Erny. Beloved sister of Ann (Judy) and Gregory Erny, Dolly (Ken) Camella, and Jeanny (Bob) Fallon. Special aunt of Samantha (Jesse) Carter, Michael Camella, and Alex Stevens. Great-aunt of Jack and Thomas Carter. Joy was a dedicated Police Officer, retiring from the City of Pittsburgh Police force, and previously served in Saltsburgh, PA and Milford, DE. Joy was a member of the FOP Lodge #1. She also was a huge Pitt football fan and loved to travel.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with FOP Service at 7:30 p.m., on Sunday, June 14th at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 15th at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish--St. Pius X Church, 3040 Pioneer Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15226. Interment to follow in St. Anne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Joy's family suggests donations be made to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
