Lena "Lee" (Carciofi) Ventresca

Age 96, of Green Tree, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 29, 2021. She is the sister of the late Nello (Mary) Carciofi and the late Gilda Carciofi. Lee is survived by her loving daughter Valerie (Joseph) Nicksich, adoring granddaughters Amy (Jeffrey) Schmiege and Aubrey (Jett) Abramson, four great grandsons, Gavin, Jack, Henry, and Cameron; and nieces Carole Coulter and Cheryl Bernini and their families.

Lee saw much of the world while working as a travel agent for Thomas Cook. She especially enjoyed cruising, and trips to Las Vegas with her sister, Gilda. Lee was known for her kind and generous spirit and loved entertaining family and friends; and spending time with her cat, Katie. Some of her hobbies included reading, playing cards, solving puzzles, and writing poetry about loved ones.

Due to the Covid pandemic, there will not be a visitation or funeral. A Celebration of Lee's Life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
