Martha G. Braum, age 94, lifelong resident of Beechview, passed away in the comfort of her home, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Baran) Novak. Loving wife of the late Robert F. Braum. Beloved mother of Edward Braum, Patricia (Clair) Stillwagon, Robert (the late Cynthia) Braum, David (Laurie) Braum, and the late Marsha (Ernest) Kirschman, and Carolyn (surviving spouse, Steve) Snyder. Beloved grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild. Martha is preceded in death by her 8 siblings. Martha is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Martha will be remembered as a loving, gentle, and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, great-great-great grandmother, homemaker, and friend to all. In her earlier years, Martha enjoyed cooking. She has since passed down many delicious recipes that will forever live in the hearts and kitchens of her loved ones. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Martha also enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, the peace and beauty of nature that surrounded her, and had a passion and love for music that brought her much comfort and happiness. Her kindness, compassionate, and loving soul, will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends received from 9:30 a.m. until time of Blessing Service in the funeral home, at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Martha will be laid to rest with her late husband, Robert, at 12:30 p.m., in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017, immediately following the Blessing Service.
