Age 97, formerly of Upper St. Clair, on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Beloved wife of the late John C. “Jack” Schmidt. Loving mother of John E. (Janet), Thomas G. (Mary Jo), Mark J. (Laura), and Richard C. (Holly). Grandmother of Justin (Brittany) Schmidt, Andy Schmidt, Sierra (Nathan) McNew, Kevin Schmidt, Jared (Stacy Moritz) Schmidt, Janelle (Zachary) Williams, Kara Schmidt and Amelia Hammond. Great-grandmother of Kinsley, Josie, Landon, Macie, Charlotte, and Hazel. Daughter of the late Herbert A. and Lillian M. (Hinger) Staab. Sister of Anthony G. (Bonnie) Staab and the late Leone E. “Nonie” (Wallace) Connolly and Edwin A. “Pete” (Janet—still surviving) Staab. Mary Kay will be sadly missed by numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Upon graduating from Mount Mercy College, now Carlow University, Mary Kay worked for H.J. Heinz. Later in life, and after her children were grown, she became a teacher's aide for Allegheny Intermediate Unit.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 27th at 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Parish—Holy Child Church, 212 Station St., Bridgeville, PA 15017. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
