Ralph William Bachner, Sr.

Age 90, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on May 2, 1934, he was the son of the late George and Hildegard (Dinkel) Bachner. He was a member of Saint Teresa Kolkata Parish.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne M. (Bemesderfer) Bachner, who he married on September 10, 1955, his children Deacon Ralph (Susan) Bachner, Kathleen (Leonard) Hromyak, Patricia (Stephen) Jasenak, Robert (Linda) Bachner, Richard (Terri) Bachner, Reverend James Bachner, Michael (Darla) Bachner, Jeannine (Bret) Moyer, a sister, Mary Ann (Robert) Cleveland, sister-in-law Claire (Robert) Hubsch, sister-in-law Ann Bachner, 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Paul Bachner and sister-in-law Margaret Bachner.

The family expresses its gratitude to the staff at Shadyside Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospice for the compassionate and exceptional care they gave Ralph and his family.

Friends received 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 15th and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16th at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh., PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 17th at 11:30 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh., PA 15216. Everyone please meet at church. Interment will be held privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either Saint Teresa Kolkata Parish or Saint Mark the Evangelist Parish.
