Robert R. Breit, passed away peacefully at the age of 74, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Robert is survived by his two children, Robert (Amanda) Breit and Michelle (Bob) Madden, as well as his three brothers, Albert (Bonnie) Breit, Tom (the late Beth) Breit, and Don (Sandy) Breit. Most people knew him as "Boston" from Beechview. Others called him "Coach" because of his many years spent coaching baseball. Some just knew him as the guy who loved to chat near Gus and Yai-Yai’s Iceball Cart on the North Side. But to the people who mattered most to him, he was simply "Pappy." His grandchildren, RJ, Matthew, Jason, Ella, Jaxon, Aiden, and Logan, were the light of his life and in their presence, he truly was a "Happy Pappy." They will always have their grandfather’s spirit of love and silliness within them. Robert is also survived by his longtime companion, Theresa Grenesko, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 23rd from 4 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 6 p.m. at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
