Robert J. Weyers

Age 88, of Naples, FL, formerly of Beechview, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Louise (Gravant) Weyers. Loving father of Cynthia Field (Mark Matuszak) and the late Joseph Weyers (Michael Turner). Proud grandfather of Joshua Field (Samantha) and Chloe Field. Brother of William (Joanne) Weyers, Richard (Joanne) Weyers, Judith Harding (James), Joanne Dyjack (Gary), and the late Alice Evans (Robert), Frances Berardelli (Murph), and Kathleen Monahan (Mike).

Robert was born on February 13, 1937, in Beechview to the late William and Roxey (Grant) Weyers. He attended St. Catherine’s grade school and then Connelly Technical Institute. After completing his schooling, he joined the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a 45 yr employee of Matthews International where he held various positions in the foundry and customer service. His final position took him to Naples, Fl in 1986. He thoroughly enjoyed everything about living in Fl and never missed an opportunity to golf. His favorite role was as a proud grandfather to Josh, Chloe & Samantha. He delighted in each of their accomplishments and often remarked that Josh and Samantha’s wedding was one of the happiest days of his life.  He was a true gentleman and his kindness & positivity will be greatly missed, but he will live on in our hearts forever. 

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 17th at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18th at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Burial to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
