Age 77, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Beechview, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Son of the late Henry and Rose (Stresnic) Rau. Beloved husband of Ruth A. (Saunier) Rau. Loving father of Ronald J. and Jeffrey D. Rau. Cherished twin brother of Rosemarie (Robert “Bob”) Glaser.
Ronald honorably served in the United States Air Force for four years, achieving the rank of Sergeant.
Ron was a true handyman and outdoorsman at heart. Working a majority of his life as a mechanic, working on cars, trucks, and mostly anything he can get his hands on. Ron was always fixing something or working on new projects. Ron also found great joy and comfort spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He most enjoyed helping others. His generosity, quiet strength, and willingness to lend a hand will forever leave a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be greatly missed.
As per Ron’s wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. A private service for immediate family, will be scheduled at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, with full military honors, at a later date.
