Age 91, formerly of Beechview, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Richard J. Hazel, Sr. Loving mother of Donna Jean Hazel, Thomas and his wife Susan, Joanne and her husband David Pavlinch, and the late Richard, Jr. with his surviving wife Patricia, and Mary Ellen Hazel of Richmond, VA. Grandmother of Joseph, Steven and his wife Brooke, Michael and Brian Hazel, Erica and her husband Brian Andrews, and Shannon Pavlinch. Great-grandmother of Brady, Tyler and Lily Hazel, and Theona and Frances Andrews. Sister of Kathleen Rooney and the late Betty Ann Koral, Patricia Rooney, Eleanor and her husband James McCaffrey, Jean and her husband Donald Noonan. Sister-in-law of and the late Mary and her husband Dan Harkins, Catherine and her husband John Friel, and William and his wife Clara Hazel. Rosemary is survived by and will be sadly missed by many loving nieces and nephews from the Diskin-Koral, McCaffrey, Noonan, Harkins, Friel and the “Hazel #2” families. Rosemary was a 1950 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing and was a Labor and Delivery Nurse there for her entire career. Rosemary’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Marian Manor, especially the staff of B1 for their wonderful care and support over the last two years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh, PA 15216.
