Russell T. "Russ" Netzel

Age 67, of Beechview, on Monday, April 22, 2024, Russ lost his two year battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 43 years to Candace (Teichert) Netzel. Loving father of Matthew (Kacy) Netzel and Amanda (Matthew) Mantick. Grandpa of Tyson Netzel, Talon Netzel, and Briggs Mantick. Son of the late Raymond J. and Dolores (Vituccio) Netzel. Brother of Raymond (Sandy) Netzel, Thomas Netzel, and Shelly (Bob) Vacca. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Russ was a retired steelworker of 41 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, vacations to the beach for fresh seafood and having an ice cold beer by the pool. He loved all things sports. Russ was an avid Steelers fan; had a passion for coaching his kids’ sports; and was a PIAA baseball umpire and football referee. He will be missed by many.

Friends received 2-7 p.m. on Monday at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
