Saverio "Sam" Caruso

Age 88, of Beechview, born in Nicastro, Lamezia Terme, Italy, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Beloved husband of Giovannina “Joanne” (Paola) Caruso. Loving father of Angela (Bob) Le Donne and Silvia (Jeff) Braidic. Nonno of Sierra Le Donne, Mitchell Braidic, and Rachel Braidic. Son of the late Antonio and Rosa Caruso. Brother of Mario (Maria) Caruso, Anna (the late Mario) Mannella, and the late Giuseppina Gatuso, Tommaso (Concetta—still surviving) Caruso, Luigi (Rita—still surviving) Caruso, and Angelina (Tony—still surviving) Sapone. Sam will be sadly missed by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sam was a painter for Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for nearly 40 years.

Friends will be received 3-7 p.m. on Friday, March 14th at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15th, at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Entombment to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
