Shawn P. Murphy

Age 55, of Beechview, on Monday, October 9, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Kimberly A. (Donalies) Murphy. Loving father of Shamus Murphy and Kaitlyn Murphy. Cherished son of Barbara A. (Nowak) Murphy and the late Thomas E. Murphy. Brother of Holly (J. Eric) Peters and Colleen (John) Geyer. Son-in-law of Robert L. and Patricia (Walton) Donalies. Shawn will be sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Shawn graduated from Point Park University with a masters degree in electrical engineering. He was a Pressman for the Post-Gazette for 21 years, until recently he became an Electrical Instructor at Triangle Tech. Shawn was proud of his Irish heritage, was a history buff and enjoyed music, fishing and hunting. Shawn was a deeply devoted father to his children. His children and entire family are proud of his recent accomplishments including his new and promising career. 

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 17th, at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish--St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Burial to follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, where he will be reunited with his wife, Kim. Arrangements are entrusted to BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216.
