Shirley A. (Barry) Sweeney

Age 86, of Beechview, on Monday, October 9, 2023. Beloved wife of the late James C. Sweeney. Loving mother of Kathleen (Skip) Mattern, Michael Sweeney, Colleen (Quint) Sweeney, and the late James J. (Julie—still surviving) Sweeney. Fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sister of Kate (the late Andy) Polcawich and Theresa (the late Bill) Smith. Shirley will be sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends received 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
