Stanley James "Sonny" Nowak

Age 67, of Beechview, formerly of the South Side, unexpectedly on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Dearest brother of Raymond (Pat) Nowak, Barbara (Thomas) Murphy and the late Ronald (Mary Jo) Nowak; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews; beloved son of the late Stanley and Anna Nowak. Stan was a retired nurse from UPMC Shadyside Hospital as well a US Army reservist. He enjoyed salsa dancing and was an avid outdoorsman. Stan loved life and lived it well. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Friends received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church of St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish. Burial to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
