Age 72, of Beechview, died February 21, 2022. "Vincie" had been residing at ProMedica, formerly ManorCare, in Greentree, where he passed away peacefully. Beloved son of Joan Gaetano and the late Vincent Gaetano, Sr; loving brother to LeeAnn Matesich (Mike), Jim Gaetano, Lori Nadle (Jonathan), Uncle to Liz Matesich (Roger), Emily Sonita (Tony) and Catharine Gaetano.
Vincie led a full, colorful life and will be remembered for his good-hearted nature and sense of humor. He loved and followed Pittsburgh sports, especially the Pirates. He and his mom talked almost daily until the end.
Despite his health challenges, Vincie kept a good attitude and was liked by his caregivers. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff of Promedica and Life Pittsburgh, who coordinated his care.
Vincie's final resting place is the South Side Cemetery in Carrick with his grandparents. Services and interment will be held privately. The family requests that memorial contributions in Vincie's name be made to a local charity of one's choice.
