Vincenzo “Enzo” Callà, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Born in Mammola, Italy, on February 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Domenico and Palmina Callà. He immigrated to Toronto, Canada, in 1957, where he served the Legion of Mary at St. Peter’s Catholic Church for seven years helping other immigrants settle into the country. An architectural draftsman by trade, in 1982 he moved to Pittsburgh, where he enjoyed his career as Vice President of Construction Management at a local architectural firm until his retirement in 2012. Enzo savored world travel, the outdoors, reading, art, music, good food, and winemaking. He took pride and delight with his Italian language and regarded conversations and friendships with his Circolo one of the happiest chapters of his life. His most cherished role was that of playful Nonno to his adoring grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Maria (Caruso) Callà; his son, Michael (Chelsea); daughter, Giulia (James) Gouker; grandchildren, Matteo, Noella, Giada, Gemma, and Enzo; siblings Elisabetta (Paolo) Macri, Eugenio (Elisa), Mario (Marjie), and Andrea, of Toronto, Canada; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lidia (Franco) Scarfo. Private services will be held in St. Michael the Archangel Parish—St. Bernard Catholic Church, Mt. Lebanon. In lieu of visitations, a Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Friday, November 18th at the Grand Concourse, 100 W. Station Square Dr., Pgh, PA 15219.
